For more than 60 years Rohde shoes have manufactured all of their own designs from a factory in Schwalmstadt (Hessen), Germany where they have a huge warehouse that contains around half a million pairs of shoes at any one time! This enables them to react quickly if the market for their products moves. The company now sells its shoes in more than eighteen countries around the world.

The origins of Rohde (Oh!, pronounced 'Roader' by the way!) go all the way back to 1862 when when a Tannery was opened in Gruben by the original Rohde family. Mach later in 1926 E Rohde took over the factory, there is little history on the factory declined during the war years but one can only assume as in shoe factories in the UK that shoes for women's and Men's leather and fabric slippers that are machine washable.
