Shoes and How They Can Change Life

Several weeks ago I was sitting in a cafe with my best friend. We haven't seen one another for nearly a month because both of us had a lot of work and daily problems at home. During this month we could hardly find time for telephone calls: we were so busy these evenings. But at last we managed to find some free time for one another and have a good lunch.

We were sitting in a fine cafe, eating delicious food and discussing our thoughts, there was playing pleasant music and suddenly I noticed that a handsome young man in front of us was watching me. When he saw that I had noticed him he pretended reading a newspaper. In a couple of minutes I lifted up my eyes to him again and he pretended reading his newspaper once more. It was a nice game, it amused me and I nearly stopped to listen to my friend. In several minutes he stood up and made his way to the exit but when he was passing me he put a napkin with his telephone near my hand.

I was hesitating for a long time whether it was worth phoning him or not and at last I decided. I rang him in two days and we decided to meet next day.

He was really a man that could provoke my interest, that's why I prepared for this meeting with great care. I thoroughly arranged my hairdo, put on my favourite dress and used the best perfume that I had for special cases. I wanted that evening to be perfect!

When I came to the cafe he was waiting for me, he stood up to greet me and at that moment I understood that something was wrong. He was in an expensive suit, his hair was neatly done, his radiant smile was the same, but when I looked at his shoes& They were so dirty as if he hadn't cleaned them for ages. As the majority of women I consider that shoes can tell a lot about their owner and his cleanliness. I was impatiently waiting for the end of the evening and after that didn't answer his telephone calls.

Running Shoes: How to Pick the Best Pair

Do you need some new running shoes? Whether you are a new runner or a longtime aficionado, you need to make sure that your footwear is not only comfortable, but also that the running shoes provide you with the proper amount of support so that you can continue this healthy activity for as long as you desire. You will need to look at the duration and location of your runs, your foot type and your gait (the way you walk or run), and also where you should buy your running shoes.

1. How far do you run? If you are just beginning you may not be running far yet, but how far do you plan on running in the next few months. Are you training for a half-marathon or marathon? This will influence the type of running shoes you buy. A basic pair is perfect for those who are running less than 10 miles total spread out over a few days in the week.

2. Where are you running? There are running shoes specifically designed for those runners who choose to run on mountain trails, grass, or other uneven or softer surfaces. Most running shoes are designed for running on pavement or sidewalks because this is where the vast majority of runners work out.

3. What type of foot and gait do you have? Generally the type of foot you have also determines your gait.

a) Flat footed people generally are overpronaters (their feet turn to the inside as they walk or run.) They should choose running shoes that offer more stability and motion control.

b) People with high arches usually supinate (turn them outward) their feet as they walk or run. These runners need running shoes that offer more support or cushioning.

c) Normal feet are the easiest to find shoes for. You can choose basically any type of shoe for running as long as they fit well and feel comfortable.

4. Where should you buy your shoes? It is generally a good idea to go to a specialty running store or at least a sporting goods store to buy your first pair of shoes. The sales people should be able to help you to determine your foot type and gait (if you haven't already) and they will know which shoes are best for your type. Try on as many pair as you need to in order to get the perfect fit. You may want to buy a couple of pairs so that you can rotate them. If you run often you should change your shoes about every 6 months.

Hiking Shoes Versus Hiking Boots

Hiking shoes versus hiking boots? Hiking shoes win. Okay, next issue? No, really. Hiking or running shoes are better for most backpacking trips, at least during late spring, summer and early fall. boots are heavy, hot, stinky, and stay wet forever. A pound on your feet is like five on your back (some say six), so three-pound boots leave you much more tired at the end of the day.

Hiking Shoes And Ankle Support

You may have heard arguments for the necessity of ankle support, but throughout history people managed without stiff ankle-supporting boots. The problem is weak ankles, not a lack of support. You can solve this by walking a little each week on uneven ground (not in the mall).

Some may need boots, but be sure your ankle problems are not just due to a lack of exercise before you settle for backpacking in hiking boots. You may also need hiking boots if you carry more than thirty pounds when you backpack. Cut the weight down, though, and you'll be more comfortable anyhow.

Why Running Or Hiking Shoes?

Feet stay cooler in a good running shoes than in hiking boots. This means fewer blisters. After switching to running shoes and lightweight socks years ago, I stopped getting blisters. I don't mean fewer blisters. I mean haven't had one blister since I switched. Not even after a 110-mile 7-day trek in the Rockies, for example.

How To Choose Your Shoes

Try to keep below two pounds per pair, unless you have size 13 feet. If the weights are not shown in a catalog, you'll have to guess which hiking shoes are lighter based on the description and photo. Quality shoes have soles stitched to the uppers, so look under the insoles (a removable insole is another sign of quality shoes). You can usually find a good pair of running shoes that weighs less than 28 ounces for under $80, or half of that on closeouts.

There's nothing quite as liberating as ditching the heavy pack and heavy boots and hitiing the trail in running shoes. You get to go more miles, and in comfort. You get to run up a hill just to see what's there. I have yet to meet a person who has tried backpacking in hiking shoes or running shoes - and then returned to boots.

How To Source For Legitimate Wholesale Shoe Distributors

Wholesale shoe distributors are not hard to come by but finding a reliable one that you can work well with is very hard especially when you do not know where to start. So how do you verify the credibility of a particular wholesaler? We will look at some basic rules you can apply here.

When you go to the search engine and search for "wholesale shoe distributors" you will see tons of websites listed. Take a look at the websites and take note of their contact information like full business name, business registration number, address, telephone number as well as email address. It would be ideal to be able to verify the business registration number but many times, it is not as straight forward especially when dealing with non-English speaking wholesalers.

You can do a quick check, however, by contacting the wholesale shoe distributors by the number given on the websites. Make sure it is a valid land line. A legitimate company will always use a land line instead of cell phone number. Also, get a feel of the professionalism of the company by the way the call was picked up. In the event that verbal communication is not possible due to language and cultural barrier, make use of email and subsequently online chat programs like MSN, Yahoo Messenger or ICQ for example. It will help you get to know more about the supplier and get faster response, thus building trust.

For wholesale shoe distributors from China, they will have to apply for a certificate of Import & Export from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Ask for a copy of the certificate for verification purpose. Also, trade companies in China are required to register with Chinese Customs House. These companies will then be issued registration numbers from Business Information Center (BIC) which you should also ask for.

You may be thinking "That's too much of a hassle!" True but they are necessary. Fortunately, there are online wholesalers' directories that provide not just a listing of wholesalers, but also invite retailers to post reviews on the companies. One such directory even has a forum where retailers exchange ideas and comments on the suppliers they work with. Joining this community will certainly help you make better decision while sourcing for good wholesale shoe distributors.

George Tho is a webmaster and reviewer of online services. Read his review on an one-stop product sourcing portal that features reviews and forums on wholesalers and suppliers to help you find reliable wholesale shoe distributors here.

Airwalk Shoes

Airwalk shoes were originally designed as skater shoes. They appealed to board sporters like skateboarders, surfers, and snowboarders. Airwalk has sponsored these sports and some of the most famous athletes that these sports have seen such as Tony Hawk and Jason Lee.

Airwalk shoes was founded in 1986 in Denver, Colorado and were the snowboard boots to have. But the company soon realized that there is a much larger market than just boarders and they wanted to tap into it. They wanted their shoes to go mainstream and be the preferred shoes for the general public.

The mainstream sales of Airwalk shoes were good, but not great, and the boarders didn't find these new designs very desirable and began looking for another brand of shoe. But Airwalk heard the boarders and didn't want to let them down, so they designed a line of shoes to appeal to all extreme sports enthusiasts, especially skaters, and sales began to pick up again.

Airwalk may not be the biggest, most popular brand of athletic shoe on the market, but they make a heck of a nice shoe. 30 years worth of research and testing has gone into the latest designs of Airwalk shoes, and it shows.

Airwalk shoes offer a lightweight and ventilated design with great durability. The shoes are made with quality leather, suede, and other durable materials, and they are made to last. Airwalk knows that skaters are a little rough on their shoes and need to replace them often, it's the nature of the game for them. But they don't have to replace their shoes as often when they wear Airwalk shoes. And even if they did, Airwalk shoes are so affordable that they could buy three pairs of Airwalk shoes, or more, for the price of one pair of the expensive brands of athletic shoes.

Finding Airwalk shoes is fairly easy. Just shop at your favorite shoe department at the discount department store in town, they might carry Airwalk shoes. Check the discount shoe stores as well. If you don't want to drive all over town looking for your Airwalk dealer you can also find them for sale online. Simply search for Airwalk shoes and you will find a number of online retailers offering this brand. You may even find that you have a better selection of Airwalk shoes online for both men and women. There is a pair of Airwalk shoes to fit your style, and to fit your budget.

Ballet Shoes

Purchasing a pair of ballet shoes may sound simple, but there is really quite a bit of detail that goes into selecting the perfect pair of ballet shoes. If you are taking ballet classes, your instructors will probably ask you to purchase a specific type of ballet shoes, and possibly even a specific brand and color. They may even tell you what store to go to.

If your instructors have requested that you purchase a specific type of ballet shoes, then you should absolutely purchase those ballet shoes. If they have not specified a certain type of ballet shoe, then your choices are unlimited. If you are taking beginner classes, you need basic ballet shoes, as opposed to pointe shoes. Pointe shoes are for more advanced students - not beginners.

You should select ballet shoes that have real leather soles. Imitation leather doesn't hold up well. If you are light, leather will work well for you; however, if you are heavier, you may want to consider canvas ballet shoes. Leather soles often stick to the floor, and canvas doesn't. When you stick to the floor, not only will your ballet shoes wear out faster, but you may also injure yourself.

Find out if your ballet instructor prefers an elastic band or ribbons on the ballet shoes. Elastic bands that are sewn across the top of the shoe are typically preferred for children, while ribbons are usually reserved for recitals, and elastic bands are preferred for practice. Again, find out what the instructor prefers before making this selection.

Also, before making a purchase, put the shoes on and try a few basic ballet steps to see how the shoes feel. Remember that you won't just be walking in your ballet shoes! If the shoes are rubbing you the wrong way when you do ballet steps, try a different brand or size. Do not assume that you will 'break them in.' Ballet shoes are soft and really don't need to be broken in - and if they fit you correctly they should be quite comfortable.
